About Me
A new beginning
Hello!
My “new beginning” has started in the third section of my life.
After retiring from my professional life as a general practitioner near Basel in Switzerland, I decided to improve my knowledge and experience in photography.
Swiss Photoclub in Zurich offered a fulltime Academy for several months, where I learned many technical skills and – even more importantly – where I received a broad introduction into the art of photography. Many thanks to all teachers for their great commitment!
Starting off in the world of photography is a humbling experience when I see the enormous talent around. I am constantly inspired by other photographers and feel very grateful to enter this world and create my own art.
To be awarded Licenciate of The Royal Photographic Society is a great
pleasure and a highly estimated recognition of my work.

Artistic statement
My work represents the beauty and joy I feel. I endeavour to be honest and respectful of my subjects yet free in my expression.
I equally enjoy shooting different subjects and styles, though landscapes are my favourites.
